David F Cargo Library's Response to Corona Virus 19 (CoVid 19)

Greetings Friends & Colleagues:
 
With the Corona Virus 19 (CoVid 19) Pandemic Crisis, the David F Cargo Library in Villanueva continues to provide information, e-resources, and updates of news that affect the area via our website and social media. Equally, with the Pandemic crisis, kids cannot go out to visit with their friends, be on the football team, go to cheerleading camp, or even attend their high school graduation and at the same time, grandma cannot visit and dad lost his job.  How can you help school aged kids cope with stress?
One can Help Children Cope by:

• -Develop a schedule of learning, fun activities
• -Facetime with friends & family
• -Have Family Group activities "READ TOGETHER"
• -Sit with them
• -Talk calmly
• -Pay Attention to what kids are experiencing on social (media), family, & friends while at home
• -Discuss current events
• -Keep It simple, Be honest

 
At this present time, employees and volunteers are working from home and/or away from the center and library until further notice. Also, the community center and library events have been cancelled until further notice. The library will keep you posted of any (schedule) changes for upcoming event(s).  We wish you the best in these dire circumstances the globe is enduring. #INTHISTOGETHER
